Language stay
in Douarnenez
Turn your stay in France into a new language experience and live the French way of life in the region Finistère in a little town by the ocean: Douarnenez, a former sardine port that has now been transformed into a marina, but retains its heritage of yesteryear. The busy quays and the alleys with their small shops and fishermen's houses provide a picturesque setting for your language study trip.
You can choose between two programmes and when booking, I will send you my tailored study guide!

Your immersion course
The first option is a traditional language stay in the small, lively town of Douarnenez. In addition to the morning lessons (3.5 hours), you’ll have time to immerse yourself in Breton culture. I suggest a stay of around two weeks, comprising either 8 or 10 days of lessons and joint activities, with a break of one or two days halfway through so you can go exploring.

Your independant trip
Second option: a preparatory course comprising as a general rule 7 to 9 sessions before your independent trip and the remaining lessons after your return.
This course will boost your confidence, making you much more assured when it comes to communicating with locals in French.

Your study book
containing plenty of tips on sights, excursions, traditions and culture, as well as practical advice on accommodation and dining but also lots of grammar and listening comprehension exercises.
For use during the on-site course, as preparation or for follow-up study and will be provided upon booking.
